Watch Out For Recalled Products at Discount Retailers

It’s illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. However, defective products, originally available at Meijer stores, are being sold at discount retailers, dollar stores, liquidation firms, flea markets and thrift stores nationwide, according to the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission.

As San Diego product liability attorneys, this incident is particularly disturbing because many of the recalled products are designed for children. According to Consumer Reports, at least one of the recalled products being resold poses a very serious safety hazard to infants. In 2010, the CPSC investigated a fatality associated with the Infantino sling.
