Honda Recalling Popular CRVs and Pilots for Headlight Defect

As San Diego product liability attorneys, we understand that finding out your vehicle has been the subject of a safety recall can be very alarming. However, this information can help prevent a serious San Diego car accident.

With this in mind, we would like to share this week’s auto recall alert.

Honda Recalls Popular CRVs and Pilots for Headlight Defects

Honda has announced that it will recall 2002-2004 Honda CR-V and 2003 Honda Pilot SUVs next month. According the carmaker, about 554,000 of the Honda sport-utility vehicles have wiring defects that may fail to turn on the front low beam headlights.

While there have been no reports of injuries due to wiring flaws, the lack of proper illumination increases the risk of a collision, said the company.

According to Honda, it will mail notifications in late April to CR-V and Pilot owners customers affected by this safety recall. They will be instructed to bring their recalled Honda SUVs to local dealerships where the necessary corrective repair work will be performed, free of charge.
